What you’ll do

As part of Eaze’s infrastructure team, you’ll work on improving the environment that Eaze’s services are deployed to; zealously keeping deploys fast, reliable, and ergonomic, while expanding the deploy flows to new technologies; securing Eaze’s systems; supporting its current software system; and building new tools as needed to enable Eaze’s next-generation software. To succeed in this role you should understand that your customer is the other engineers you’re enabling and champion them. This means caring about their experience writing and releasing code. It means making it easy to do the right thing instead of making it hard to do the wrong thing. It means being as open as you can be, taking responsibility for your work, but as the custodian of the infrastructure — not the owner. It means thinking holistically about our systems and the impact of your actions on them. You should also enjoy automation, modeling security threats, making sure the systems you work on are observable so the team as a whole can usefully understand how their systems behave. We also encourage learning new technologies as well as teaching your colleagues about the technologies you understand.

Technologies Used

Eaze’s current infrastructure stack uses these technologies, and experience with some subset of them is useful. Mastery is not required.

We do not plan to move into Docker-centric deployments. We do not plan to move into language ecosystems other than JavaScript and Rust.

Nice-to-haves include experience with Honeycomb.io, edge proxies like Envoy and haproxy, and edge caches like varnish.
