Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Controller for a cannabis dispensary located in the heart of San Francisco. The primary responsibility of the Controller is to manage the finance department providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all Company activities that will assist management, its shareholders, and other users in making educated financial decisions about the Company’s future. This role offers a 70k-78k base salary during their training period (around 3 months of training)
  • Accounts receivable/accounts payable
  • Report generation
  • Ensure company is compliant with local, state, and federal government entities
  • Data entry
  • Assist with monthly account reconciliations
  • Filing
  • Cash handling and bank deposits
  • Confidential handling of company matters
  • Assisting both the Store Manager and the Controller
  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a senior financial management role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting
  • Experience with Corporate taxes
  • Experience with Quickbooks
  • Experience with Microsoft Office/Google Docs/Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Comfortable with multitasking/switching duties quickly
  • Mac proficient, Windows comfortable a plus
  • Ability to work independently or part of a team
  • Working knowledge of office equipment (printers, copiers, etc.)
  • Detail oriented
  • Comfortable with math
  • Basic knowledge of GAAP a plus
  • Interact with both internal and external customers professionally
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • US work qualification
