Marketing Coordinator – Hyrba



We are seeking an outgoing and passionate Marketing Coordinator, someone who is looking to be part of the team at our first cannabis retail marketplace in San Francisco. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies to promote our products and services. This role will involve implementing marketing strategies to drive traffic and increase sales, providing guidance and support to team members, and collaborating with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the organization. This role will involve market research, creating marketing materials, managing campaigns and social media platforms, managing and organizing promotional events, and analyzing data to determine the effectiveness of marketing efforts. Must have the ability to solve problems, listen well, and communicate effectively with various audiences. This position works directly with the HYRBA leadership team to meet financial forecasts and drive both short and long-term company growth.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Identify training needs and develop training programs for team members. This will involve coordinating staff educations with brands.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on project progress.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote products or services.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and target markets.
  • Create marketing materials such as flyers for specials and social media posts.
  • Manage advertising campaigns across several channels.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with brands and obtain digital media and merchandising assets.
  • Analyze marketing data and report on the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Identify new opportunities for marketing campaigns and partnerships.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform marketing strategy.
  • Manage the company’s social media presence and engage with customers on social media platforms.
  • Promote and foster an environment and culture that is focused on positive and healthy interactions.
  • Work collaboratively with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Inventory Manager, and Buyer to effectively communicate and delegate goals, tasks, and responsibilities to the team to ensure a smooth operational flow.
  • Exceed customer expectations by implementing and delivering exceptional service and training the staff to deliver the same service.
  • Drive customer retention goals and increase the number of returning customers.
  • Use, management, and maintenance of the Point of Sale (POS) system, specifically as it relates to onboarding and managing promotions and loyalty rewards.
  • Maintenance of open communication with the management team and coworkers.
  • Strategically utilize the tools and resources provided by Management to improve operational efficiency and improve cultural goals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience managing marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation software and CRM tools.
  • High proficiency in communication and organization; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience with cannabis retail POS systems; Proficiency with Dutchie is a plus.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Performs all job functions with high attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Ability to work both independently and cohesively as a team member with co-workers.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Working knowledge of business processes and system development.
