On October 13th 2016 the Western Addition Career Center, partnered with West Side Community Services and Street Violence Intervention Program, to hold an interactive resource fair at the Fillmore Plaza. This fair was geared towards helping individuals remove barriers that are preventing them from finding employment. Some of the barriers that these individuals are faced with include lack of high school diploma, housing, legal and health issues. The goal of the Western Addition Career Center is to help increase employment in those that are traditionally seen as hard to employ and to support clients every step of the way. The Western Addition Career Center would like to jump start the career of its clients and has a proven track record of doing so. All of our services are free to job seekers in San Francisco. In addition to resource fairs, the Center helps with resume writing and tips, mock interviews, and one–on-one mentoring and job search.
