Four years ago, Gina Cordero channeled her compassion for helping others within her San Francisco community into a position as the receptionist for the Western Addition Career Center. Within 6 months she was recognized for her support with colleagues and clients and was promoted to her current role of Career Advisor / Service Connector. In this role, Gina supports the residents of Minna Park Family Apartments, the Related Properties and Plaza East Apartments with resource services and using the business centers to ensure access to technology. She facilitates bimonthly meetings and works as a liaison between residents and property managers. As a residential advocate, Gina aids with job searches, rental assistance, food assistance and other needs. At the Career Center, Gina continues to work with resume writing, job search and referrals to potential employers, employer follow-up and supports the Director of IT with The Computer Literacy courses.
