RICHARD

Dude whats wrong man?

 SMOKE

That smoke blows me away, and if you don’t stop soon either I get blown far away like towards Turlock, or you are going to die. Like bruh you have a family to look out for. Yo nephew, ya Moms, and yo son. Dude I’m just say’n you never know you could die today. And deep down I know you don’t want that for you or ya fam.

RICHARD

Like forreal I care about the fam, and my brother, “you”, but tbh I’m addicted to them woods.

SMOKE

You. . . like forreal? You could die, and that smoke is really blowing me away.

RICHARD

What you trying to say that I’m just a dead man?

SMOKE

Dude I’m just saying you should quit while you really can. Like seriously, I don’t want this for all of us.

RICHARD

I don’t want this for any of us either, but this wood addiction is just really getting in my way (Takes another hit from the wood) of my family life, because all I want is just a wood to smoke on. The reason why I want to be with my fam is because moms hella sick. She just keep sleeping, and my nephew just keep cry’n and cry’n then I got my son actin a fool at school. I really love them forreal but the craziness is really stress’n me.

(To the audience) I really can’t believe I just told him this stuff. I really feel messed up about this. I’m hella sad now. I never told him this before.

SMOKE

(To the audience) I can’t believe he told me this. I feel really sad now. He never told me this before.

RICHARD

(Sad) Just stop sweat’n me dawg.

SMOKE

That’s what I’m say’n, you too conceited. I get you love your family and all but you worry about ya self too much.

RICHARD

(Flicks the wood). Bruh just give me another one ya boy is stress’n.

SMOKE

I can’t dawg you really don’t look too good. You should go to the house and get some rest dude.

RICHARD

WTHell you mean? I don’t look good I’m perfectly fine, just get me another wood.

SMOKE

Why do you care for a wood so much? I know you’re addicted but what is your main reason for a wood?

RICHARD

(Aggressive) Bruh give me a damn wood dude forreal you gett’n on my nerves talk’n too much.

SMOKE

Dude no you got to calm down, and stop trippin off a wood.

RICHARD

God so help me I will beat the mess outta you.

SMOKE

Why do you want to fight? You know what screw it, here, but don’t say I never warned you. (Hands him a wood.) I feel terrible, and wrong for this.

RICHARD

(Puts the wood in his mouth and flicks the zippo lighter. Takes a long hit from the wood.) You know what I feel terrible.

SMOKE

Why do you feel terrible huh? I’m the one that feels terrible about giving you another wood.

 RICHARD

The reason is (Takes two long hits from the wood.) that I love my family but I keep doing this to myself. (Takes one last hit from the wood.) Like forreal… (He hits the ground.)

  SMOKE

Rich…you good?! Rich bruh stop play’n with me. Dude this ain’t funny get up. Please get up.

Hopefully I see you in the afterlife.

(Smoke goes back up the hill where he came from. His home. Then Richard turns into smoke.)
