Setting:
Under the Golden Gate Bridge, with a light breeze. Loud music blaring from passing cars. Hear bad spirits crying for freedom.
Time:
12AM on a summer night.
At Rise:
Prince looking into the distance, his waves crashing against the South Tower. Yachty docked by North Tower, facing Prince.
Prince
I really want to be la galaxia, pero mi amigo Yachty wants to be a papa. Quiere tener una familia (as he cracks his waves). Que me importa, yo quiero ser la galaxia. I want to be the galaxy.
Yachty
(Yachty comes up to Prince) Hey Prince, what’s up? You wanted to talk.
Prince
(Faces Yachty with enthusiasm) Si! Mira, you’re the only one que sabe where Neptune stays. I really need your help to find him. Me puedes ayudar? Can you help me?
Yachty
(Looks at Prince like he lost his waves- lost his mind)
Prince
Que paso? Why are you looking at me asi? Was it something I said?
Yachty
Oh no, nothing, are you serious? Do you really think that you’re that special, to get a wish?
Prince
(Looks at Yachty with a “really” face) Verda? You’re going to do me like that? Que pasa?
Yachty
(Brushes off the situation) You really wanna go? Let’s go.
Three hours later…
Setting: Under the last of the decaying Bay Bridge. Smells like dead fish and burned metal. Feels like looking into your past. Strong gust of wind.
(Yachty is sailing and Prince is going with the waves and looking for Neptune)
Yachty
Man, isn’t it beautiful out here? Oh! Look at that shooting star! Make a wish!
Prince
(Says in a missing tone) I wish Reyna was aqui conmigo.
Yachty
(Freezes in his position) Yo man, I’ve got something to tell you.
Prince
(Replies nonchalantly) Si, wassup?
Yachty
(Somewhat terrified) So, um, I’m kind um, with Reyna.
Prince
(Calm tone) Oh, okay.
(Looks into distance) Did he just..? Reyna and him? Yo sabia! I knew it!
Yachty
Uh, you okay?
Prince
(nods)
Yachty
You’re not mad?
Prince
(Plays it off with a shake of his head)
Yachty
Oh, um, okay, wanna look harder for Neptune?
Prince
(Brushes off the situation) Yeah! I’m so ready!
Yachty
(Surprised) Hey Prince! I found him!
Prince
Oh, verda? Really?
(Neptune possesses Yachty, speaks through Yachty)
Neptune/Yachty
I am Neptune God of the Sea. What is it that you’ve come for?
Prince
Senor Neptune, yo soy Prince the Pacific Ocean. I’m here because I’ve been bien, I haven’t done anything malo and I really want my wish of being a galaxia, galaxy.
Neptune/Yachty
What makes you think you can get that power/
Prince
Senor, I really want to save the world! Being the galaxia will help me do that.
Neptune/Yachty
Prince, son, remember that one day when you and Reyna got into an argument and what you did after? Because I do, you took an innocent life. You have your father’s instinct of hurting people just because you’re angry. You brought that man into your undertow and fed him to the sharks. With great power comes great responsibility. What makes you think I would grant you that wish?
Prince
Si, yo sabe! Pero, I hold my anger inside! I won’t hurt anyone as a galaxia. Mis amigos y mi familia live on this earth, I won’t be taking one life, I’d be taking todos.
Neptune/Yachty
(consider tone) Hmm, you have a point. So, if I were to grant you this wish you must understand the responsibilities that I am handing you. And, you understand that if you mess up our alignment I could take your wish like this (snaps) and you wouldn’t become an ocean again, you would become a swamp.
Prince
Si! Si! Yo sabe! I know. I won’t let you down senor!
Neptune/Yachty
Alright son, prove me wrong (snaps). Your wish starts at 4:00 am. Have fun!
Prince
(Says cheerfully) Gracias! Gracias! I will prove you wrong, I will! (Confused) Uhh, what’s going on?
(Neptune possesses Prince, now speaking to Yachty)
Yachty
Hey! Do I get a wish too?
Neptune/Prince
(Says in an angry tone) Are you speaking to the God of the Sea with this tone?
Yachty
I apologize, I apologize! Do I get a wish granted to me?
Neptune/Prince
Alright, what is the power you seek?
Yachty
Yes! It’s not power sir! I really would like to be the most handsomest cruise ship in the world. I also want to be unsinkable.
Neptune/Prince
Alright, wish granted (snaps). Your wish begins at 4:00 am, as well.Have a good life. Hope you love your wish!
Yachty
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Prince
(Confused) Uh! Que paso?
Yachty
(Teases) I just got my wish X2.
Prince
(Shocked) Oh, really? Que pedistes?
Yachty
What makes you think I’d tell you? That’s bad luck, Enano!
Prince
(Brushes off situation) Oh pues! (Sarcastically) I hope you got what you wanted!
Yachty
I can’t wait to tell Reyna! She’s going to be so happy! Oh, yeah! Sorry.
Prince
Ehh, whatever bote, I don’t give a flying fish. Have her, you’re both good liars, great for each other.
Yachty
(Grabs Princes shoulder) It’s okay; don’t start a tsunami like your dad. You’ll find someone better.
Prince
(Irritated) Mira bote, I’m getting sick and tired of all your stupid bass boca always drowning all my energy. Te callas o te callo.
Yachty
We’re in America, not Mexico, Taco Bell.
(Prince tries to pull Yachty into an undertow, but Yachty is smart and sails horizontally)
Yachty
See, that’s why your mom, the old Bay Bridge, is slowly dying because you keep stressing her out.
Prince
It’s okay…I forgive you…

Prince
(Monologue)
I can’t believe it! I’m the galaxy! Is that Reyna and Yachty?Wow, he’s a cruise ship! (Gasps) He’s sinking! And. Reyna is crumbling to pieces! Well, I guess they got what they deserved. I’m the galaxia now, no me importa. I’m living life to the fullest.
