Caesar

(Greeting) Good morning, Lucy.

Lucy

(Yawning) Good morning honey! (Greeting back)

Caesar

Im hungry Lucy. Let’s go get some food.

Lucy

Yes I’m starving. I saw some delicious mangos yesterday my favorite tree. Let’s go.

(They both walk to Lucy’s favorite tree.)

Caesar

After we get our mangos, Let’s go pick strawberries.

Lucy

Okay, sounds great.

(It suddenly started to rain heavily. SFX: rain. Lucy slips.)

Lucy

(scared) Oh my goodness, Caesar, we have to go back to the cave before lighting strikes because it can get dangerous.

Caesar

You go back honey. Ima still pick up food for us because we’re gonna be there all night.

(Lucy goes back to the cave to protect herself from the rain and lightning. Caesar is at the banana tree getting bananas when suddenly lightning strikes and hits Caesar. (SFX:lightning sound.) Caesar screams. Lucy notices it and runs to Caesar despite the rain.)

Lucy

Honey are you OK?

(With all her might, Lucy drags Caesar back to the cave.)

Caesar

You saved my life.

(Caesar embraces Lucy because she just saved his life.)

Lucy

(sad) See, I’ve always told you here the rain is (mad) too heavy and and it can get deadly.

Narrator

(2 days later, Caesar soon recovers but because Lucy went outside in the rain to help Caesar, she gets sick. Lucy for the past few days, has been coughing [Lucy coughs], developing sickness.)

Caesar

Ima go look for plants that will cure your fever and cold.

Lucy

Okay honey but if it rains please return home. (She coughs 2 times.)

Narrator

Caesar leaves the cave in search of curing plants. He soon returns to the cave with the plants and makes Lucy a remedy.)

Caesar

How are you feeling honey?

Lucy

(Recovering) I feel so much better thanks to you but I hate (sad) the rain, Caesar. It could have killed you with lightning and (crying) kill me by getting me sick.

Caesar

(clueless) I know that but what could we do?

Lucy

(worried) We can move to a dryer place where it doesn’t rain a lot suddenly. The weather out here is so Bipolar.

Caesar

(serious mood) I do not want to move from this forest. We were both born in this forest. We both met in this forest and we were supposed to raise a family in this forest and pass on like that was my dream.

Lucy

(very angry!) If we stay here we could die. I do not want our children to be raised in a place where it can be dangerous. If you don’t want to move then I will.

Narrator

Caesar gets an idea and builds a fort around Lucy’s favorite tree trying to convince her to stay, because he is really disappointed. He wants to do this because he thinks Lucy will be happy. She could hang out around her favorite tree rainless. Just like everyday, Lucy goes to her favorite tree and easts some names. Caesar soon joins her but suddenly it starts to rain.

Lucy

(surprised) The fort you built seems to keep the rain away.

Caesar

(happy) See I told you honey. Now we can hang out in our favorite tree.

Lucy

(demanding) You should build a fort around the banana tree and the strawberry tree.

Caesar

Ok. I’ll get to work right now.

Narrator

Caesar goes to get more materials and things to build more forts. He soon covers all their favorite trees with forts. Caesar and Lucy soon pick up bananas (SFX: picking fruit) and strawberries barely getting any rain on them.

Lucy

(happy) I’m so happy that we could be around our favorite trees without any rain getting on us. Caesar I know we still get a little wet because we cannot build a fort that will cover the entire forest but I have a great idea.

Narrator

The next day first thing in the morning he goes into the forest to gather materials. Caesar returns to the cave with something.

Caesar

(convincing) Look honey. I call this thing an umbrella. (SFX: umbrella opening.) We hold it on top of our head and it will keep the rain off us.

Lucy

(anxiously) Can we go try it out as soon as it starts raining?

Caesar

(willingly) Of course.

(It soon began to rain really heavily. [SFX: rain] Caesar and Lucy both held their umbrella and the rain only touched the umbrella but didn’t touch their fur. [SFX: umbrella opening])

Lucy

(surprised) Oh my god Caesar the umbrella you built really works. Now we don’t get wet only our feet get dirty from the mud and it’s really cold.

Caesar

(excited) To be honest I have 1 last solution for the mud and the cold.

(Caesar soon leaves the cave to find more materials for his last solution to the rain. Caesar soon sees some humans in his jungle camping. They soon leave for a hike and Caesar goes inside their campout and steals 2 jackets, 2 pair of shoes, and 2 pairs of gloves. Caesar returns to the cave with Lucy.)

Caesar

Look honey. I brought you something for the cold and mud for outside.

(Lucy takes the things Caesar brought for her and embraces Caesar with a thanks).

(happy) We can try our new things when we go outside. (The next day Caesar and Lucy go outside in the rain to try out their new things. Caesar and Lucy with their new jacket and shoes and umbrella walk the entire jungle rainless and sickless)

Lucy

(happy) Honey I am so happy. You got these things for us now. We don’t have to worry about the rain.

Caesar

(questionable) I know Baby Girl. Do you still wanna move out and abandon me and our jungle?

Lucy

(relieved) Of course not honey. I would of never abandon you. I was just scared of this jungle but you made everything better.

Narrator

I year later Lucy and Caesar have baby twins and they are so happy, still living in their jungle.

Caesar

(Holding baby twins)

(honest) Lucy I want to be with you for the rest of my life with our children.

Lucy

(honest) I want to be with you too for the rest of my life with our children.

(Both hug each other)

Narrator

Throughout the generations of chimps in the jungle, the 1st generation that didn’t leave the jungle, were Caesar and Lucy.
