CHARACTERS: G-SPUNKS the GERMAN SHEPARD, age 2 J-MONEY the GERMAN SHEPARD, age 1 ½, his brother
SETTING: The Pound in San Francisco, California. Cell bars, loud barking, cigarette smoke, Rats everywhere, broken lights shortening.
TIME: Present day, winter, a cold Friday. The day G-SPUNKS get put down.
AT RISE: 12 o’clock midnight. Panther gets G-SPUNKS from cell
G-SPUNKS
Yea Yea lets get dis over with
(Panther walks G-SPUNKS down hall)
G-SPUNKS
Damn blood where J-MONEY when you need him?
(Panther sarcastically says something to piss him off)
G-SPUNKS
We’ll see who has the last laugh.
(Panther walking him down the corridor)
G-SPUNKS
(Crying) Tell my puppies I love them.
(Panther laughs)
G-SPUNKS
and tell my Mom and Pops I love them. (Flash back to 7 o’clock in the morning)
G-SPUNKS
Aye lil bra you ready for this, todays the day.
J-MONEY
Naw brotha I’m not feeling it today.
G-SPUNKS
(Puzzled) What the hell you talking bout?
J-MONEY
I’m saying I’m not doing it.
G-SPUNKS
J-MONEY, I can’t do this without you.
J-MONEY

G-SPUNKS
Please J-MONEY
J-MONEY
I can’t (Walks off)
(Flash forward to 12 o’clock midnight. Panther continues walking G-SPUNKS to the death chamber)
G-SPUNKS
I really hope J-MONEY changes his mind. Cause if not its doggie heaven for G-SPUNKS. I gotta do something I cant go out like this.
(Panther opens back door)
G-SPUNKS cont…
Wow this is easier that I thought. Now’s my chance.
(G-SPUNKS tries to run for the door and makes it out but another Panther grabs him.)

(Panthers bring him to execution chamber)
(Flash back to 8:00 in the morning)

J-MONEY

How are you feeling?
J-MONEY
I’m doing a little better
G-SPUNKS
Dats good to hear, I’m glad your feeling a little better.
J-MONEY
Can you leave me alone now, I’m trying to catch some zzz
G-SPUNKS
I need to talk to you though.
(J-MONEY ignores him)
G-SPUNKS
We suppose to be family but you treating me like a enemy.
J-MONEY

G-SPUNKS
Man I can’t believe this. J-MONEY is the only fam I got up in here and he straight up dissin me. I’m probably gonna die today and he acting like he don’t care, what the hell is that all about. I feel like J-MONEY betrayed me and why I do not know. I would say I don’t care but I do. I still need his help too. If push comes to shoves I’m up out of the place regardless. When I do get out I’m straight to the hut to see my pups. I hope my Baby Mama aint messin around with them filthy mutts cause I know how she roll. Also I can’t wait to see my Big Daddy and Mary. They aint been visiting me but its Gucci though. When I do see my whole family I’ll be happy.
J-MONEY Being here in this godforsaken place has did a number on me both mentally and physically. I came to the realization that if I don’t try to help my big bra he is goin to die. I don’t know why I was even treating him so coldly. But I will make it right by saving him and if I get my freedom in the process then that’s great. When we make it back to the fam it’ll all be back to the way it used to be.
(Flash back to 12 o’clock. Panther straps G-SPUNKS down)
G-SPUNKS
DO I at least get a phone call?
(Panther nods his head No)
G-SPUNKS
Well forget you then I don’t care.
(Panther goes to the other room to get the needle)

I need a miracle asap.
(An earthquake starts and kills the power.G-SPUNKS sees J-MONEY)

I knew J-MONEY was gonna come through for me.
J-MONEY
