SETTING:
MJ, a famous shoe, 20 years old. NIKE, another shoe, his brother, 18 years old.
At Home
TIME:
6:00pm summer, nice day
AT RISE:
MJ at home in his bedroom, haiving just gotten off work. We see TV, bed, clothes. MJ is in bed watching TV by himself
MJ
Man, I’m so mad. Nike really is a freakin’ Puma! I just can’t believe that he has a girl. I’m better than him at everything: sports, good looks, and me as a person. I mean, I’m famous for my shoes that I design every month! Girls should be all over me. I can’t believe I’m talking to myself about this. When he gets home from work we have to talk.
(NIKE walks through the door)
NIKE
I’m home, anybody here?
MJ
Yeah, come down here, I need to talk to you.
NIKE
Alrite bro, what’s up with you?
MJ
Hey man, we need to talk about the girl situation.
NIKE
Hey that has nothing to do with you. If that’s what you wanna talk about then just drop it.
MJ
I’m better than you man, how is you even talking like this to me?
NIKE
Because man, you are wrong this time. You think you are the boss of everything.
MJ
No, I don’t mean… I’m just saying, I’m a perfect guy. I’m on the top.
NIKE
Man, if you say you all those wonderful things, then just try to find a girl.
MJ
Man, I don’t have to listen to you, you’re not even famous like me.
NIKE
Man, it’s not all about that.
(NIKE walks away)
MJ
(He talks to himself)I really can get a girl. I’m good-looking, famous and really fun to be around
(MJ goes to sleep)
ACT ONE, Scene Two
Time: Next morning
PLACE: On the road
At Rise: MJ driving on his way to work,
gets a call on his cell phone
MJ
Hello, who is this?
NIKE
Dis Nike. A’ man, I’m sorry about last night, man. We both said some things that we should of not said.
MJ
Hey man, it’s alright. I said some mean things too.
NIKE
Hey man, we make mistakes. Its normal, that’s what normal brothers do.
MJ
Alright man, talk to you later.
NIKE
Alright, bye.
(NIKE hangs up gets out of bed, and gets ready for work)
MJ
(Talking to himself) Hey, that conversation was the weirdest conversation I ever had. Something seems strange because he never said something that nice to me before.
ACT ONE, Scene Three
Time: After work
PLACE: At work
At Rise: MJ looks at his watch
MJ
Hey man, it’s 4:55, I’m off in five minutes.
(MJ leaves his office and soon as he steps outside he sees a beautiful lady. She has: green eyes, dark laces, and also big heels and a cute strap)
Dang, man! I haven’t got at a girl before; I’m always at work. This is going to be my first time.
(MJtakes a deep breath, goes over to talk to her)
ACT ONE, Scene Four
Time: That night
PLACE: Home
At Rise: MJ enters, Nike is already home
MJ
Hey bro, I got a girl today! Can you believe it?
NIKE
Fo’ real? Man, I’m happy for you. We can double date tonight because I ‘m going out with my gurl too.
MJ
Alright bro, yeah I’m glad we are this close again bro.
(They went off on the date, and everybody was happy)
